Telen has an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts from the Actors Centre, Sydney. Telen has worked extensively in the disability sector supporting people of all ages with physical, intellectual, sensory and psychiatric disabilities. He has also coordinated youth festivals and events including supporting a group of young skateboarders in lobbying for and launching a three hundred thousand dollar skate park development.
